It's no secret that as winter rolls around, so does my ever-growing collection of knitwear. The temperature drops, and out come of cable knits and fluffy throw-ons, leaving me in a state of complete cosiness for the next 5 months.

The thing is however, I often find that styling knitwear grinds my creativity to a halt, leaving me a little lost for inspiration. I spend each day grabbing for a jumper, jeans and some boots and that's all there is to it. It's one of those things that comes with the cold weather... the laziness to style and the urgent need to be warm.

I mean, sure, I know that if I sat there and really thought about an outfit, I could probably pull something a little more 'chic' together, but with 5am wake up calls, and windy, rainy weather to battle, I just don't have the time!

But, regardless, I've found a bit of a loop hole...

When it comes to knitwear, I usually like to play it safe with the typical neutral tones and basic black roll necks, but recently I've found myself grabbing more for colourful knits, with a bit of character and 'fun' to them - it's really helped spruce up my day-to-day looks.

This one I'm wearing here is a gem from Miss Selfridge. I absolutely love the combination of the baby blue, along with the tan brown details, and the over-sized harlequin pattern is just the perfect 'on trend' thing for this season. The high neckline is right up my street too. I'm always more in favour of a 'mensy' crew neckline than anything else.

So, with this beautiful jumper in mind, I thought I'd pull together some of my other favourite jumpers that I've spotted recently and share them with you down below. Maybe it can help you feel more excited about your every day winter looks too!
