Powder is lovely brand created in 2009 offering a gorgeous selection of fashion accessories and  in 2013 won Fashion Accessory of the Year. They recently contacted me to ask me to select some of their spring products and create a wish list. I love their products -the designs are really beautiful!

1. The Melissa Scarf.
This scarf combines some of my favourite spring colours - a lovely bright blue and yellow. It features elegant silky stripes and measures at 170cm x 40cm. I'd style this scarf with a plain white shift dress, a mustard yellow mac and black peep toe boots.

2. The Eliza Scarf.
This scarf is very 'me'. It's grey and simple, yet has sheer panels to add a softness to the look. The scarf is 185m x 50cm. I'd style this scarf with my leather look joni jeans, metallic silver pumps and a black slouchy jumper.

3. The Sophia Scarf.
This scarf is the one I find most unique out of the 3 which I have chosen. I love the stone colour - the sheer elegant fabric is simply gorgeous and something to make every outfit scream 'Spring is here!'. I'd style this up with a black midi skirt, white boho top and black mary-jane heels.

This lip cream is enriched with Vitamin E and protective sunscreen. It works brilliantly for chapped and sore lips whilst also adding a pretty shine.

The texture of it is lovely, not sticky in anyway and easy to apply. It works best overnight - I wake up with smooth soft lips! It is definitely one of the best lip balms which I have used.

Maybelline had this mascara hyped up from the word GO. So, I thought it was about time I jumped on the bandwagon too!

The brush on this mascara is actually pretty good. I usually find Maybelline mascaras terribly tricky to use due to the large chunky brushes. The curve is subtle which is nice and the bristles are synthetic but nicely varied in length.

The mascara creates lovely definition and length. The colour is opaque and black which I enjoyed. I found that this wasn't as thickening as I would have liked it to have been however, you could always pair with another mascara to get both length and volume. If you're someone who has short lashes, definitely give this a go!

I found this to be very long lasting and held a curl well. It was slightly tough to remove compared to my favourite Benefit mascaras, but this may be down to it being  a drug store brand.

The packaging is pretty - not too in your face - lovely to photograph. I'm a sucker for good packaging. I never reach for mascaras in garish coloured bottles or that come in funny shapes.

Have you tried this mascara, let me know?

I bought this lip gloss in the shade Nude Ballet, in the hope to create a more glossy nude lip look.

Now, I'm not usually a lip gloss fan, AT ALL. However, I've been branching out and this lip gloss in particular is just lovely. The colour is opaque and the consistency is creamy not at all sticky. It does wear off after a while so would need re-applying, but if your looking for a nude alternative to a lipstick then this is a great product.

On Thursday 5th March, I was invited by Natalie Robinson to go backstage at the Class of '92 Hotel Football event. It was a great experience and I loved watching and hearing all about the make up look that was being created.

Natalie told me that the look had a 'Burberry' feel to it. The eye make up was brown and defined whilst the lips were kept light and nude. The look was soft and cheeks were contoured which I really liked. Watching Natalie was really insightful and gave me an understanding of what it is like working as a make up artist. She's lovely and very talented - check out her new Facebook page here! I also met three other lovely make up artists, Michele, Sophia and Katy. They are all MAC make up artists.

Whilst there I also got to see the clothing designs created by a student at Salford University, who I unfortunately do not know the name of. However, the clothes were absoloutley gorgeous! I loved the beige, khaki and navy colours (very up my street!) and my favourite piece was the navy parka jacket which i just wanted to grab for myself.

I had a lovely evening and I'm so grateful to Natalie for inviting me. It was a great experience!

The Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors are AH-MAZ-ING! They are a mix between a lip balm and a lip gloss but are definitely in no way sticky like most lip glosses. They smell delicious and make your lips feel super creamy and soft.

The applicator is  a soft sponge that the product squeezes out from, which works great! They're a wonderful product for people, like me, who are not usually a lip gloss fan, to try out.

Give them a go!

Recently, after hearing Essie Button rave about this nail polish, I found myself in Boots scanning the Essie nail polishes. It had been a long time coming after not painting my nails in about 5 months (YES REALLY). This shade caught my eye and my head just screamed "HELL YEAH!" Unfortunately, during that trip I'd run out of money *sobs quietly*. So the next time I was out and about, I grabbed one of these and painted my nails straight away.

The polish is such a unique colour, really beautiful for spring time. It adds a 'pop' of colour to my very minimal and well, black outfits and the finish is lovely and shiny. I find it pretty long lasting and I definitely think it is quickly becoming a favourite of mine.

The trench. A classic. A staple for spring 2015.

H&M, once again, came to my rescue when on the hunt for a trench this season. I wanted one which was reasonably priced but still well made.
I picked up this beauty for £49.99 in this lovely powder pink/beige colour. It's something a bit new for me, as I always tend to chose dark colours or white. However, my Mum, being as strong willed as she is, told me to try it on.

I liked the colour in contrast with my hair and my red lipstick and I liked the way that it went nicely with all of the colours I usually wear!

Trench coats are a staple for spring this year and if you can get your hands on one, I definitely would. A trench is timeless, worth investing in and not to mention super comfy and flattering.

Benefit are launching their new mascara, Roller Lash, said to be a 'curl's best friend'!

The mascara is inspired by hair rollers, hence the style of the packaging. The wand is curved, perfect fit for the shape of the eye and reaching the lash roots. It has brushes which grab the lashes nicely, curling them upwards and creating a really lengthened look.

It isn't as thickening compared to Benefit's They're Real, however for all you girls out there that struggle with short lashes, this could be a life saver. It really works wonders. It separates well and adds length, even to my lashes which already touch my eyebrows on their own!

Go get your hands on this, now!

It all starts after months and months of me waiting my hair to become long luscious locks. I do this a lot. I grow my hair out, decide that I'm finally going to try maintaining long hair and then...I get bored after about 5 minutes. I have very flat, straight hair, so I just feel like it being long completely gets in my way.

The next thing I do; I book myself in at the hair dressers and jump straight back to collar bone length. This is the safety zone. I'm happy with my hair here, it's easy to style, sits nicely and it's comfortable. But...

I want my hair to be daring, unusual but well, simple all at the same time. This is where I let whoever is cutting my hair get completely scissor-happy. Just cut it off!

Finally, I'm left with my chin length bob. Blunt. Sleek. Simple. I have to admit at first I thought I had made a mistake. However, after styling it myself and getting used to it. I really like it!

At the end of the day, hair grows back! If you're thinking about cutting your hair but are a little bit unsure, just be gradual - especially if you have had long hair for a while. Don't dare to be too daring until you feel it in your gut. Though, I always say that getting a new hair style is always fun and can keep you feeling really refreshed.

I find this mascara to be absoloutley brilliant. On application the mascara is lengthening, volumizing and clump free. It doesn't smudge or move an inch even, making lashes become such a dominant feature as the product has excellent pigmentation.

This is miles better than your average mascara, which causes me to believe that the price tag of  £19.50 is pretty acceptable, but I suppose still on the pricey side! It definitely holds the curl in my lashes and opens up my eyes.

The packaging is a lovely grey shimmery material, with a pretty curly font on. I think it's a very pretty  product, as many of Benefit's products are.

Overall, I really would recommend this. I have been using this product for over a year now and it's what I reach for daily. I truly love it.

Coat - This coat is a new staple of mine. It's a long line black duster coat from PrettyLittleThing.com. I really like the style and the fact that it is black means that is so versatile to pair with other clothes!

Shirt Dress - My shirt is actually a dress from Missguided.co.uk. It has a gorgeous paisley print on it which is unusual for me as I am a lover of simplicity. However, i enjoyed styling this a long with the rest of my outfit being black.

Earrings - These earrings are actually my Great Nana's, passed down to me by my Granddad. They are clip ons and have a stunning blue stone in the centre. I loved the way that they contrasted with the colours in my shirt.

Ring- My ring is a birthstone ring from Pandora - simple and pretty.

Lips- On my lips is MAC's Craving lipstick. I love this, it is the perfect plummy shade for my complexion!

Purse - This purse is my favourite. It's from Lulu Guinness, and is a simple zip up coin purse. It's perfect for carrying money around easily but whilst adding something extra to an outfit.

Lush BIG Sea Salt Shampoo - a shampoo made from sea salt that gives your hair that extra volume we all need. It softens and leaves hair lovely and shiny.

Batiste Dry Shampoo - for days when my hair is in need of a quick fix I head straight for my bottle of dry shampoo. This stuff is great, absorbing any unwanted oils and also adding a bit of volume and texture to the hair.

TRESemme Heat Defence Styling Spray - I use this to keep my hair from becoming damaged when using my straighteners. It really helps to stop breakage and protect the hair from the intense temperature. I love this stuff!

TIGI Hair Reborn Flexible Finishing Spray - once I a finished styling my hair, I grab a hold of this and give my hair a quick spritz.  This helps give the hair UV protection and is great for dry hair.

The concept of Lush's lip scrubs is so brilliant. Simply apply to the lips, give them a good scrub and (the best part) lick off the excess from your lips! It's so creative.

Mint Julips smells and tastes of mint chocolate, making this product really refreshing to use. The scrub exfoliates and leaves my lips super smooth. You only need a small amount too. It's great to use on dry lips, especially during the colder months and creates an interesting tingling sensation. I really like it!

I think this is a life saver and is a very unique product - highly recommend. Give it a go!
