Okay, so I imagine most of you guys are pretty much sorted with your festive ensembles by now... however, if you're like me, and kind of left the festive outfit planning to the very last minute, then I thought it would be worthwhile sharing with you some dresses that work perfectly all with the same make up look and the same jewellery - complete versatility here!

My make up at the moment has a kind of 'warm glow' vibe going on. I love wearing a gold eye-shadow and a bit of mascara on my top lashes, and a nude lip is my go-to, especially when drinking and eating are involved (and, let's face it, it's Christmas, when am I not going to be drinking and eating).

I like to begin with Bobbi Brown EXTRA Illuminating Moisture Balm in Pink Glow, and then add a little bit of Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation in 1.0. I then powder any overly-oily areas with some Bobbi Brown Retouching Loose Powder in White and also add any concealer if needed (I use Collection Lasting perfection Concealer in Extra Fair). I apply a little bit of blush with MAC Sheertone Blush in Peaches and literally use any highlighter I have knocking around at the time (I DON'T CARE AS LONG AS I GLOW). On my lower lash line I use a small bit of Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eye Shadow in Smoky Gold and use Christian Louboutin Les Yeux Nours Lash Amplifying Lacquer on my upper lashes. Lastly, the lip colour I'm constantly grabbing for at the moment is Bobbi Brown Luxe Liquid Lip High Shine in Camisole - I love it!

In terms of jewellery - when it comes to 'glam-ing' up any kind of look, I love adding my Carat London Antionette Chandelier Earrings. They're just so stunning - anytime I wear them I feel so super fancy! I love pairing them with the Carat London Antionette Ring too!

Of course, there are some cheaper jewellery options available that work just as well - you can have a little nosy below:

Anyway, onto the dresses!

This first one I have to show you is, of course, this amazing Gold Sequinned Dress from Zara.

I first spotted this on the lovely Emily's (@bxwie) Instagram, and she looked so stunning in it, I had to grab it for myself.

I adore the mixture of the velvet material with the sequins, and the open back is just what I was looking for (yes, I just really wanted to get my back out).

I think this looks great styled with both silver and gold jewellery, and would work perfectly with a pair of good ol' black heeled boots.

I can't think of a more perfect dress for Christmas/New Year!

The next dress is for you guys out there who want a little pop of colour, a little bit of an 80's feel, and just can't resist a bargain...

It's this glam-as-hell Pins And Needle Bardot Puff Party Dress, now on sale for £12!!!

I spotted this in Urban Outfitters a few weeks back and just couldn't resist buying this wonderful shimmery purple bargain.

I think this looks so cool with a simple elegant look, but could also be vamped up a bit with a pair of fishnet tights and Dr Martens.

It's just such a unique piece!

Finally, I have the gold satin shirt that I picked up in a Charity Shop.

YEP, this bad boy cost me all of £3.

Literally right after I bought it, I spotted some super similar designs popping up in Zara (click HERE to see) and couldn't thank my lucky stars enough. MINE COST ME £3!!

Anyway, this is one of those pieces that is perfect for those occasions where you want to feel a little fancy, but still want to have room for 6 yorkshire puddings, you know?

I love the over-sized fit, the gold tone is super festive and it's something that can be dressed up or down - what's not to love?!

Discussing The Pill

At the beginning of the year, I wrote an honest and open blog post about my experience with the contraceptive pill. I'd had an absolute nightmare with it, you see. It triggered off a lot of bad stuff for me, and finally coming off it completely made me realise just how depressed I'd gotten whilst using it.

The blog post was so well received, and made me feel like I *actually* wasn't going mad. It was nice to know I wasn't alone in my experience with it.

First Presentation with Thomas Sabo

I worked on my first presentation job this year, with one of my favourite brands to work with, Thomas Sabo. It was in Manchester too which was pretty cool!

I'd never modelled during a presentation before, so it was a nice experience to start the year with.

Casting For Zara

Although this probably is no where near as exciting as if I could say 'shooting for Zara', casting for them was still a pretty big deal for me.

As you might now, Zara is one of my favourite brands, so even having the slightest of opportunities to possibly work with them was incredibly exciting for me.

First Job with ASOS

In March, I booked my first job with ASOS. It'd been on my list of 'dream jobs to book' for ages, and to finally have that casting and get booked was really cool!

IMM Spring Campaign

I also got to be involved in the IMM Spring Campaign. It was great to shoot with a bunch of amazing girls and work on something for the agency's website. I love the images that came out of it too!

L'Oreal Just Can't Get Enough Lipstick Campaign

At the beginning of April I booked a job shooting for the L'Oreal 'Just Can't Get Enough' Lipstick campaign, which was an absolute dream. I got to work with a bunch of gals from IMM, and also work with the super talented Rankin!

Ps, yes, I am the lips in the thumbnail on YouTube!!

RESERVED Cindy Crawford Event

I was invited to the RESERVED Cindy Crawford collaboration launch event, to which I brought my lovely friend Keira along.

It was a super cool event to involved in, and it felt really cool being papped all night whilst surrounded by the cast of Made In Chelsea haha.

Trip To London with Darina

Me and the amazing photographer Darina Mohammed took ourselves on a little trip to London, which was absolutely dreamy!

It was the beginning of the heatwave and we just swanned around London, shooting in the sunshine. It was great!

Working with Cancer Research UK & Pretty 52

I got to be involved in a lovely little campaign with Cancer Research UK this year. It was great to discuss how to keep your skin safe during the summer and also work with such a lovely team. I loved being a part of the #OwnYourTone gang!

Nights Out With Friends

Back in summer, I'd always be going out and constantly having the absolute best times. I'd have so many laughs with amazing friends and we'd always end up back at CJ's flat sat on the balcony at 4am talking about nonesense.

I couldn't have asked for a better summer.

Shooting Ecom for Miss Selfridge

After working with Miss Selfridge through my blog for aaaaggggeeeesss, I booked a job modelling for their website and I was honestly SO over the moon.

I remember walking out of the casting, and within 10 minutes of leaving, I'd already had an email saying I'd booked it. Eeeek!

I Turned 20

In June I turned 20 years old, and couldn't have celebrated in any better way! I still watch the vlog from that day back now and it makes me so happy. ♥

Collaborating with Burberry

This year I got the opportunity to collaborate with Burberry on a lipstick campaign, which was just so so incredible. I got to try out a bunch of their new shades and create a super fun video for them too!

Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Campaign

Again, another lipstick campaign, this time with Bobbi Brown.

I got to head down to London and get involved with their Luxe Lip Campaign and I had the time of my life. It was such a fun day and the content turned out amazing!

Meeting My Boyfriend

In August, after what will probably go down in history as one of the weirdest nights of my life, Josh asked me out on a date. I mean, we'd met a looong time before this. We'd spoke on Tinder (all hail the holy dating app) back in March and also ended up bumping into each other in a bar in May, but it wasn't until August that we finally realised we were a pair of weirdos who clearly needed to be together.

I won't recite the entire story of our relationship to you (even though I'd like to, as I'm a soppy git), but let me just say that, being asked on that date was the best thing that ever happened to me.

Shooting for OPI in Edinburgh

In September, I got to head to Edinburgh (first time in Scotland, wooo) and be a part of OPI's A/W 2019 Campaign (that's right, keep your eyes peeled folks).

It was the most amazing trip, with the most lovely group of gals and talented team. I'd love to go back and do it all over again!

Getting To Discuss The Affects of Social Media with The Sweet Truth Podcast

I was invited to be involved in an amazing new podcast (something new for me, as I've never done a podcast before)! I loved being able to openly discuss my opinions on my industry and the different ways it's impacted me. I can't wait for you guys to get to listen!

Collaborating with Calvin Klein

To top this year off, I got to collaborate with, one of my dream brands to work with, Calvin Klein.

Getting this email was so surreal - I'd literally been discussing how I'd wanted to work with them in some way earlier that day.

I couldn't ask for a better collab to finish this crazy year off with!

Getting this email was so surreal - I'd literally been discussing how I'd wanted to work with them in some way earlier that day.

I couldn't ask for a better collab to finish this crazy year off with!

So, it's safe to say this year has left me feeling a little 'lost' with myself. I feel like I've fallen from the sky, hit a million obstacles on my way down, still not managing to find my feet on the ground yet - I'm simply not myself right now, and, as much as that's not okay... it's going to be.

I'm hoping the new year can be a fresh start for me. I'm hoping I can focus on myself again, finally, and get myself back to where I'd like to be.

I've been swirling round in a whirlpool of worry for more than 12 months now, and that's simply not the life I want to be living.

Hands down, I am determined to make 2019 a good, successful and happy year for myself, and I've got myself a good list of goals I'd like to achieve already written down and calmly placed in my brain, so I thought I may as well share it on here too!

1. A Healthy Relationship With Food, Exercise & My Body Image

One of my biggest struggles during 2018 has been my relapse with my eating disorders.

To be honest with you guys, it all kind of began last year, but it really hit me hard throughout the entirety of 2018.

You see, I'm a born binge eater - I am a food obsessor. Once I'm hooked on addictive foods, there's a feeling of 'no going back'. I could sit and eat a shit tonne of food for weeks and weeks on end. I love stuffing my face with chocolate and cheese and any food I can get my hands on. It's a truly terrible habit-forming cycle. The reality is, it's a temporary painkiller - it'll numb all of my hurt and my stress for a small moment, but then leaves me with masses of guilt and self-hate, causing any ounce of confidence I have to just completely crumble. The same goes for when I decide to starve myself. I can go a week living off super low amounts of calories, restricting myself to water fasts and other crazy ideas, but it just leaves me feeling weak and agitated... and let's not forget, completely ravinous, so I just end up binging all over again.

I want to get out of the cycle. I want to get back to my healthy balanced diet. I want to get back to when I had just the right balance of self control and allowing myself to have fun (oh god, how I miss 2016).

Along side with that, comes my relationship with myself too. I feel so much better when I don't have the heavy guilt of binge eating on my shoulders, or the worry of crying over calories. I can simply just live with myself as content as I can possibly be and work with that - that's all I'd love to get back to honestly.

BUT, even then I still never feel like the best version of myself, so I want to get myself back into exercise and working out too. I want to feel the endorphins I used to feel after the gym or fall back in love with dancing again. I want to get myself into a life full of healthy habits, rather than truly toxic ones.

This is probably the most important thing to me.

2. Model More & Maybe Get Signed To Some New Agencies Abroad Too

I feel like I've not been as successful as I'd have liked to have been this year. Sure, I've had some amazing opportunities, but I haven't quite 'killed it' like I would honestly want to.

I'd love to book more jobs next year - I want to throw myself back into the thing that I love, since I feel like I have sadly drifted out of it, due to my bad mental health. I want to spend more time in London, in new places, meeting new people. I want to pursue what I've been trying to pursue properly for years.

It'd be great to get myself signed to some agencies abroad too - I would love to go and work with new people, in new countries and learn new languages/cultures. I feel like that's the next big step for me.

3. Make My Blog A Real 'Big Girl' Business

Now, don't get me wrong, my blog has been my own business for 4 years now, but I've never really got myself clued up on the best ways to run it.

I've let myself be clueless when it comes to money - constantly being underpaid and walked all over - as well as not really concentrating on the best way to pitch ideas and get my content out there. BUT, now I've got my game face on...

I've been spending time already, filling my brain with knowledge, chatting to other bloggers, reaching out to brands, and, do you know what? I feel like I know my shit. I finally don't feel like a little lost lamb in a herd of sheep anymore.

Next year I'm hoping to be the most 'business orientated' I've ever been.

4. Move Out OR Pass My Driving Test

I've wanted to move out into the city for a long time now.

As much as I love living at home, I've been secluded to working in my bedroom for 4 years, and it'd be great to have my own space to finally separate work from my down time.

If moving out doesn't go to plan (at the end of the day, I'm not made of money), then I'd love to at least pass my driving test.

I kind of gave up on driving this year, but I would really love to be able to have the independence to drive myself to places, get to shoots, see my friends, which is currently an absolute nightmare to do when I have to deal with Northern Rail on a weekly basis (if you know, you know).

At least if I'm not living in the city like I'd want to be, I'd be able to drive myself there!

5. Happiness

I would sum up this year with the word... 'painful'. 2018 has been a 'painful' year for me.

There's been so many obstacles, even right up to the start of December, and I'm simply just hoping that 2019 can be a much happier year for me.

And, to be honest, I have no doubt that it will be. I mean, I have my goals set out, I feel calm about them, I have an amazing family, amazing friends and get to go into the new year with the love of my life.

I get to start this next year in a happy place, which can only lead to good things. ♥

There you have it, those are my 5 simple goals for the new year ahead. Let me know what kind of goals you have for the new year and whether we have any similar ones. I'd love to hear what you guys have planned for 2019 too!

this is not me, this is not my skin
this is not the home i want to live in
this is not my body, this is not my figure
please, oh please don't let me get any bigger

this is not my face, this is not my smile
this is not how I want to feel, I've felt it for a while
this is not my hair, these are not my lips
i want to tear the weight from on my hips

this is not my chest, these are not my breasts
this is not the size I want to see, when i'm getting dressed
these are not my legs, these are not my thighs
it's like I can hear it, when my reflections cries

this is not my foot, these are not my toes
this is not how I used to fit in my clothes
this is not me, this is not my skin
when did i allow the voices in?
